Guidance
Hallo! My name is Frau Hottell and I am the German teacher and Peer Mentoring Adviser for Southwestern Junior/Senior High School. I am originally from Bloomington, Indiana and attended Indiana University for my undergraduate degree. Go HOOSIERS! As a junior in high school, I was an exchange student in Germany, which led to my love for the German language, people and culture. After studying at IU, I taught one year of English in Hannover, Germany before returning to the states and starting my teaching career here at Southwestern. This is the start of my 12th year here! How is that possible? Outside of Southwestern, I am a wife, a mother or three boys, ages 9,7 and 5, and a student at IUPUI earning a masters in School Counseling. I enjoy running, gardening, being with my family and reading in my free time.
